Proceso

El proceso tiene de 16 pasos:

El barro es traido de las minas que estan localizadas a 1.5 km de distancia.

Se combina el barro con agua y arena y se amasa.

Amasado: se danza sobre el barro en una forma muy cultural durante 3 horas y media, al ritmo de efectos de sonido de timbales y otros instrumentos como lo hacían los ancestros, para darle vida al barro. Ahora se ha perdido el ritmo musical.

Torneado: el artesano pone en práctica su habilidad, destreza y técnica sobre el disco del torno para poder elaborar cualquier diseño en barro.
Después de torneada se deben esperar 4 horas para dar inicio al proceso de retorneado.

Cuando ya esta retorneada pasa al proceso de pulido y alisado para afinar las grietas para dar mejor textura y cerrar los poros. Se hace con una piedra de mar muy fina.

Entaguado: tague: lengua nagualth: echar tierra de colores. Esto se hace a través de un baño para impregnar una capa sobre la superficie de la pieza.

Se debe esperar para pulir la pieza.

Pulido: se hace con plástico sólido o semillas de sapollol.

Luego esta lista para el segundo entaguado.

Se hace el mismo proceso gravándole un taque de color blanco.

Luego se espera para pulirla nuevamente.

En cada pulida la pieza va tomando mas brillo y mejor acabado (proceso manual)

La pieza lista para poder ser dibujada, tallada para poderla pintar.

Pintado: a base de tague cada color se tiene que pulir con piedra de mar para extraer el brillo total.
Después de haber pintado la pieza se seca durante 8 días.

Tallado o calado:
Esto se hace para darle los detalles al dibujo que necesite la pieza.

Horno: Esto se hace para hornearla en hornos artesanales a 900 grados Celsius.

Al día siguiente son extraídas y se les limpia reviviendo el brillo en ellas.

Process

The process has 16 steps:

Entaguado: tague: language nagualth: to throw land of colors.
This becomes across a bath to impregnate a cap on the surface of the piece..

It is necessary to wait to polish the piece.

Polished: it is done by solid plastic or seeds of sapollol.
Then the piece is ready for the second entaguado.

The same process becomes throwing a tague of white color
Then it has to wait to polish again.

In every polished the piece is taking more sheen and better ended (manual process)

The piece ready to be drawn, carved and to be painted.

Painted: It is based on tague every color has to be polished with stone of sea to extract the total sheen.
After the piece is painted, the piece is dried for 8 days.

Carved or fret:
This is done to give the details of the drawing that the piece needs

Oven:  This is done to fuse the piece in handcrafted ovens to 900 degrees Celsius.

 

The following day, the pieces are extracted and cleaned to re-live through the sheen in them.
